Job summary

Union College in Cranford, NJ seeks a part-time Shuttle Van Driver within the Facilities department. The role involves safely shuttling students on campus and to events off campus as needed, under non-exempt status.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma, a valid NJ driver's license with a clean record, and a Defensive Driver Course certification or equivalent. Pre-employment checks apply and travel may be required.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent required.
• Previous driving experience.
• Must have a New Jersey valid driver's license and an overall violation-free record.
• Certification in Defensive Driver Course or equivalent (e.g., CDL or Safety Instructor course) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide consistent shuttle transportation on-campus and between campuses in a safe, courteous manner.
• Maintain daily shuttle usage records with the Public Safety Department.
• Notify Facilities for vehicle repairs, refueling and cleaning as needed.
