Job summary

Lees-McRae College is seeking a Campus Operations Specialist and Shuttle Bus Driver to transport students, faculty, and staff safely across campus. The role emphasizes excellent customer service, route planning, and vehicle maintenance while complying with safety rules.

The position is full-time with varying hours, occasional evenings and weekends, and regular local travel using college shuttle vehicles. Prior driving experience and a clean driving record are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
• Excellent customer service skills and professional appearance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and edit transport schedules based on passenger needs.
• Arrive at collection points prior to scheduled departure.
• Ensure adherence to passenger limits and safety rules.
• Avoid high-traffic routes when possible and document incidents.
• Record accidents and incidents with supervisor.
• Ensure timely disembarkation at destinations.
• Maintain shuttle bus cleanliness and fuel level.
• Observe traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Assist with campus mail pickup and delivery.
