Job summary

Mercy Ships in Lindale, Texas seeks a part-time Hospitality Assistant to deliver outstanding guest and staff experiences on site. This role blends hospitality and cafe duties, with approximately 24–28 hours per week and compensation of $14 per hour.

You will perform housekeeping tasks, stock supplies, take orders, prepare drinks, log safety and temperature records, and ensure conference rooms and cafe areas remain clean and welcoming, all while upholding Mercy Ships’ values.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or its equivalent required.
• Customer service experience required.
• Hotel/Housing experience preferred.
• Successful completion of Mercy Ships Entry Training will be required within the first year.

As aHospitality Assistant- Part Timeyou will be responsible for providing exceptional guest /staff experience and services at Mercy Ships International Office. This position is a dynamic, customer-facing role that requires high communication and professionalism with great attention to detail.

This position is a part time, onsite position at our office in Lindale, TX. The part-time hours are approximately 24-28 hours/ week.

Compensation for this position Is $14/HR

**Compensation range listed is for U.S. hires only. Actual compensation may vary dependent upon location of hire.

How You’ll Contribute

Hospitality & Housekeeping

• Approach all encounter with guests and employees in a welcoming manner.
• Thoroughly clean and restock accommodations.
• Restock janitorial supplies throughout campus.
• Launder Bedding/Towels/Linens.
• Complete janitorial tasks as assigned such as mopping and trash removal.
• Clean and restock conference rooms.
• Assist kitchen staff with serving food and in dish room.

Barista

• Greet all persons in a welcoming manner.
• Take orders accurately.
• Prepare specialty drinks & food items.
• Follow visitor safety procedures by logging campus guests and provide visitor badges as required.
• Follow food safety protocols.
• Maintain temperature logs and waste logs.
• Maintain cleanliness of Cafe through completing daily and weekly cleaning tasks.
• Accurately complete weekly inventory.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support the hospitality team and overall operations.
• Must be able to stand/walk for multiple hours; lift up to 25lbs.
