Camden County Technical Schools Gloucester Township Campus is seeking a Substitute Security for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts. The role secures students, staff and property, and supports transportation and event coverage.

The position offers a per diem arrangement with a $20–$25/hour rate, and requires background checks, NJ residency or relocation within 365 days, and compliance with district policies.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in law enforcement or security work.
• Must be available 1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts.
• Valid New Jersey Driver’s License.
• Experience responding to emergencies, providing security, public safety, and other demonstrated aptitude or competence for assigned responsibilities.
• Meets the health qualifications as the Board of Education may find appropriate and acceptable.
• Successfully undergo a criminal history check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status.
• Meets New Jersey residency requirements or willingness to relocate to New Jersey within 365 days of employment.
• Must comply with the Camden County Technical Schools’ Nepotism Policy, file Code: 0142.1.
• Camden County resident preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with supervision of student and staff parking.
• Assist with morning and afternoon supervision of student transportation services.
• Assist with building evacuation and emergency procedures.
• Assist in the development, processing and administration of the student, staff and visitor identification systems.
• Assist in the maintenance and operation of the school district video security system.
• Maintain and distribute staff communication devices.
• Assist in the coordination of security assignments for school activities.
• Consult with division heads on methods of increasing security in and about school premises.
• Act as a liaison with public safety authorities on matters affecting school security.
• Maintain a security log and prepares reports as directed.
• Assist in conducting security related investigations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor per the CCTS’ Organizational Chart/or designee.
