Job summary

Location: Camden County Technical Schools Gloucester Twp Campus – Sicklerville, New Jersey. SUBSTITUTE TEACHERS (PER DIEM) with immediate start. Must hold NJ substitute or teaching certificate and pass background checks; orientation may be required.

Salary is $120 per day, or $125 per day after orientation at CCTS, with a weekly hour cap and no benefits. Full-time position noted as such by the district, with equal opportunity employment language.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid New Jersey Substitute or Teaching Certificate.
• Ability to follow oral and written directions.
• Able to work with adolescents; must be child friendly.
• Must pass criminal history check and show U.S. citizenship or legal residency status.
• Meet health qualifications required of all personnel.
• Meet NJ residency requirements or willingness to relocate within 365 days.
• Follow Camden County Policy, File Code: 0142.1.

Responsibilities

• Follow information from the district through the Substitute Handbook.
• Monitor the hall before, after and between class periods where appropriate.
• Take accurate roll for both school and classroom attendance.
• Follow teacher's plans; supplement activities when necessary.
• Interact with students and monitor classroom behavior.
• Maintain a learning-conducive relationship with the class.
• Enforce safety habits, rules and regulations.
• Be punctual and dependable; report by the time designated in the Substitute Handbook.
• Abide by board policy, administrative regulations and directives, local, state and federal laws.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the principal or designee.
