Job summary

Queen Creek Unified School District seeks a dedicated security supervisor to protect students, staff and property on campus. You will patrol buildings and grounds, manage access, and support safety protocols under the Principal's direction, with a focus on quick response and clear communication.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma (criminal justice coursework preferred), are physically fit, and can pass a background clearance and obtain an Arizona IVP Level One Fingerprint Clearance

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent. College classes preferred in criminal justice or related field.
• Caring human relations skills; good written communications skills.
• Experience in working the public and youth.
• Neat appearance and good physical condition – must be on feet for long periods of time.
• Knowledge of Arizona laws pertaining to schools and youth preferred.
• Experience in law enforcement preferred.
• Knowledge of drugs and alcohol and their detection and effects.
• Must pass a background clearance
• Must obtain an Arizona IVP Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card

Responsibilities

• Patrols district buildings and grounds to prevent substance abuse, fighting, theft, vandalism and illegal entry and exit.
• Learns names of individual students in order to assist with campus control.
• Confronts unauthorized persons for questioning; routes or detains them; calls police for assistance according to emergency action plan.
• Reports any unusual conditions or malfunctioning of heating, plumbing or electrical systems.
• Patrols school grounds to detect and require correction of unauthorized and improperly parked vehicles.
• Makes written reports of security violations.
• Directs and controls vehicle traffic on district property when necessary.
• Assists staff with student conduct.
• Serves as witness in a disciplinary due process hearing or court case as required.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned to advance district priorities.
