Job summary

Responsibilities include access control, patrols, incident reporting, emergency notifications, and coordinating with facilities and emergency responders as needed.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience: Prior law enforcement, military, or security experience.
• Skills & Abilities: Ability to work independently; good customer service; handle emergencies; radio communications; basic computer skills; good verbal and written communications; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; sufficient hearing and vision; ability to stand/walk/drive for long periods; rapid response capability; clear English.

Responsibilities

• Observe and report safety and security hazards affecting personnel and property.
• Enforce university safety and security rules and regulations.
• ID compliance and access control."
• Regulate and direct traffic and parking compliance as needed.
• Escort authorized personnel as requested.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies and notify emergency personnel.
• Prepare written reports and coordinate with Facilities Dept.
• Monitor alarms and respond to emergencies within the facility.
• Other duties as assigned.
