South Carolina Governor's School for the Arts and Humanities is seeking a Security Specialist to patrol campus grounds, monitor safety conditions, and protect people and property. The role includes developing reports, directing visitors, and coordinating with law enforcement when needed.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and experience in fire prevention, safety, or security, with strong judgment in emergencies.

Formación

• A high school diploma and experience in fire prevention, safety, or security activities.
• Applicants may be asked to bring college transcripts to the interview; official copies may be required.
• Some areas may require an official, certified transcript prior to hiring.

Responsabilidades

• Patrol campus areas to safeguard students, employees and property.
• Prepare and submit written safety and security reports.
• Direct visitors and answer questions as needed.
• Transmit alarms and messages via electronic safety systems.
• Respond to complaints, violations, and requests for assistance.
• Provide first response regarding trespass-related inquiries.
• Assist investigations by gathering information and documenting findings.
• Respond to emergencies and manage traffic or personnel as directed.
• Liaise with police and emergency services when required.
• Document incidents and report to the director.
• Attend meetings and participate in security programs and activities.
• Perform other related duties as required.
