Job summary

The South Carolina Governor’s School for the Arts and Humanities is seeking a dedicated security professional to patrol the campus, respond to incidents, and coordinate with local law enforcement to maintain a safe environment for students and staff.

The role involves investigations, court appearances, and timely reporting. A high school diploma and SC law enforcement certification are required, along with a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma and certification by the Law Enforcement Training Council.
• Must possess a current SC Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Patrol campus to ensure safety of students and staff and prevent violations.
• Respond to complaints and emergencies and liaise with local law enforcement.
• Conduct preliminary investigations and prepare police reports.
• Respond to campus emergencies and direct traffic as needed.
• Testify in court and other legal proceedings.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
