Job summary

Princeton Day School seeks a full-time Security Officer to maintain safety and order across the campus. The officer reports to the Director of Safety and Security and works Sunday 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.

and Mon–Thu 2:00 p.m.–10:30 p.m., with overtime as needed. Responsibilities include conducting security tours, monitoring entrances, responding to alarms, and coordinating with local authorities during incidents.

Qualifications

• Ability to act quickly, efficiently and calmly in stressful situations.
• Valid Driver's License and CPR Certification.
• Black Seal Boiler License and NJ SORA License can be obtained within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular security tours to maintain a visible presence and identify safety concerns.
• Monitor visitor, staff, student and contractor activity to maintain a safe environment.
• Direct and manage campus traffic and parking as needed.
• Respond to emergencies, alarms and safety concerns promptly and appropriately.
• Escort/transport individuals to specified locations for personal protection.
