Job summary

Princeton Day School in Princeton, NJ seeks a full-time Security Officer to patrol the campus, maintain a visible security presence, and promote safety and order under the Director of Safety and Security.

The role requires responding to emergencies, monitoring access, directing traffic, preparing incident reports, and providing information and assistance to students, staff, and visitors.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform patrols and maintain a visible security presence.
• Strong communication with campus community and visitors.
• Demonstrated ability to respond quickly and appropriately in emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular security tours to maintain a visible security presence.
• Manage and direct vehicle traffic and parking on campus.
• Monitor activities of visitors, faculty, staff, students, contractors, and renters.
• Serve as an emergency responder and respond to alarms and safety concerns.
• Prepare daily activity or incident reports as needed.
• Call police or fire department in emergencies and assist authorities.
• Escort/transport individuals as required and provide information to guests.
• Monitor building systems and security equipment for proper operation.
