Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate effectively (verbal and written).
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must successfully complete one week of basic patrolling procedure training including baton and TASER qualification.
• Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check.
• Must possess a valid Georgia Driver's license in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine public safety duties in accordance with established guidelines.
• Patrol assigned areas to ensure personnel safety, building and equipment security.
• Warn violators of rule infractions and assist with traffic & parking violations.
• Provide high profile uniformed public safety services for campus events and for the University community.
• Engage in active patrols as non-sworn personnel to support campus safety.
• Act as a public safety-first responder for non-criminal incidents and assist sworn officers.
