Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Background check and drug screen are required by law.
• Guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures; report suspicious behavior, unsecured doors, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established procedures and contacting emergency services when needed.
• Document patrols, incidents, and daily activities through accurate reports and maintain professional communication with school personnel and Allied Universal leadership.
