Job summary

The San Francisco Campus for Jewish Living in San Francisco’s Excelsior neighborhood seeks a Plant Security Officer to safeguard residents, staff, and property by patrolling, controlling access, and responding to alarms and emergencies.

Responsibilities include monitoring the SOC, securing entrances, logging incidents, coordinating with responders, and maintaining a professional security presence while delivering high-level customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current and valid California Guard Card.
• 3+ years security guard experience; healthcare experience a plus.
• Experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC) or control room.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to build rapport.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and authorize the entrance of employees, visitors, and others to maintain campus security.
• Patrol the grounds and perimeter; observe for unusual activity or safety hazards; secure doors and windows.
• Control and enforce vehicle and pedestrian access throughout campus grounds.
• Respond to door alarms, elopement alerts, and fire alarms; investigate and take appropriate action.
• Receive, inspect, and sign for courier packages, mail, and deliveries.
