Job summary

Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada is seeking a Campus Security Officer to provide a safe, secure environment for employees, clients, volunteers and visitors on the main campus in Las Vegas. The role involves enforcing policies, monitoring activity, coordinating with SOC and emergency responders, and supporting CCSN’s 16 social service programs.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED, at least two years in security or related work, and preferred bilingual Spanish speakers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum two years of security, law enforcement or related experience.
• Bi-lingual in Spanish preferred.
• Flexible schedule to work after hours, holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure campus environment for clients, visitors and staff.
• Monitor and report violations of policy, safety or security.
• Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency responders as needed.
• Manage campus traffic flow and monitor activity in campus areas.
• Enforce CCSN policies and procedures on the main campus and properties.
• Communicate effectively to diffuse confrontational situations.
• Record information and prepare accurate reports for authorities.
• Assist with safety and security program operations as required.
