Job summary

A community service organization in North Las Vegas is looking for a security personnel to develop positive relationships with clients and local authorities. The role involves maintaining a safe environment, managing property patrols, and ensuring compliance with safety procedures. Candidates must have a certified security training background, excellent communication skills, and the physical ability to perform job duties, including lifting and walking across extensive grounds. This position is sensitive to confidentiality and subject to grant funding.

Qualifications

• Must be physically fit to walk a 5-acre campus on a 12% grade.
• Prior training in crowd management and/or conflict mediation/resolution required.
• Valid Nevada driver’s license and pass a motor vehicle record check necessary.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain positive relations with clients and authorities.
• Maintain a written journal documenting inspections and activities.
• Respond to calls for assistance and report unsafe situations.
• Patrol property and manage traffic flow.

Skills

Excellent interpersonal, telephone, and communication skills

Knowledge of Microsoft software including Outlook, Word, Excel

Ability to maintain a self-motivated schedule

Ability to work with diverse backgrounds

Education

Graduate of a certified Security Training Program
