Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of experience in campus security or related field preferred.
• Associate degree in Criminal Justice, Public Safety, Emergency Management, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide a visible security presence to promote a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for students, employees, visitors, and College property.
• Patrol College buildings, grounds, parking areas, and other facilities on foot and by vehicle to identify safety hazards, security concerns, unauthorized activity, and policy violations.
• Respond to security incidents, alarms, medical emergencies, and requests for assistance; coordinate with law enforcement, fire, and emergency medical personnel as appropriate.
• Enforce College policies and parking regulations; monitor access to facilities; prepare incident reports and citations.
• Assist with emergency preparedness activities, facility security, special events, traffic control, and campus evacuations as assigned.
• Provide courteous customer service by assisting students, employees, and visitors with information, directions, and routine non-emergency assistance.
• Maintain required certifications, participate in training, and perform other duties as assigned.
