Allied Universal, North America's leading security and facility services company, is hiring a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Washington, DC. This role offers fixed shifts with the option to pick up extra shifts to increase earnings while building experience toward a full-time career.

The position provides a reliable base schedule, a pay rate of $20.00 per hour, and opportunities to grow through training and our perks program.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsabilités

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or campus guests by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, parking facilities, walkways, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established campus protocols.
• Monitor access points and support authorized entry procedures for campus facilities, events, and restricted areas.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and patrol activities, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and designated site contacts.
