Job summary

J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. is seeking a Campus Security Officer to safeguard personnel and visitors at the Lowell, Arkansas campus. The role emphasizes enforcing policies, patrolling facilities, and coordinating with local authorities as needed.

As part of the Administration, Facilities & Secretarial team, you will respond to emergencies (CPR/First Aid), control access, complete incident reports, and maintain professional relations with internal partners to ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED AND 6 months of experience in security, emergency services, military, loss prevention, or related field.
• Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle record as per company standards.
• CPR Certification preferred and ability to respond to emergencies.
• Ability to transmit, receive, and interpret information accurately.
• Ability to work night shifts and/or weekends as required.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to security systems, technologies, operating standards, and procedures; enforce company policies in a fair, consistent, and professional manner.
• Provide tactical responses to emergency events to administer medical attention (CPR, First Aid) and mitigate threats.
• Guide security measures and provide assistance to employees and visitors when incidents occur; respond to alarms.
• Perform building patrols to check for hazards, violations, exits, and unauthorized personnel; log issues and report.
• Grant access and log temporary security credentials for employees and visitors.
• Identify and write reports on accidents, incidents, or suspicious activities; maintain logs.
• Serve as first point-of-contact for law enforcement; notify management as needed.

The incumbent will protect J.B. Hunt's corporate assets relative to theft, assault, fire, and other safety issues, as well as complete additional safety training classes as assigned by management.
