Job summary

Jewishva is seeking a Campus Security Officer for the Sandler Family Campus in Virginia Beach. The role requires varied hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and offers a pay rate of $19 per hour.

You will monitor access, patrol buildings and parking areas, respond to incidents, and support security procedures under leadership. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years in security or related fields, holds a DCJS certification, a high school diploma, and a valid driver's license with

Qualifications

• 2+ years of security, law enforcement, or military police experience.
• DCJS certification is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with clean DMV record.
• Professional demeanor and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor access to the facility to prevent unauthorized entry.
• Patrol the building, grounds, and parking areas for safety.
• Monitor CCTV systems and report suspicious activity.
• Perform badge and ID checks as needed.
• Respond to safety and maintenance concerns.
• Open and close the facility according to protocols.
• Document incidents and maintain shift logs.
• Assist with emergency procedures and evacuation protocols.
