Qualifications

• Two years of security-related experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• New York State security guard certification.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Basic computer skills including email and report writing.
• Ability to respond to emergencies with urgency and sound judgment.

Responsibilities

• Provide general campus security through vehicle and foot patrols and fixed posts.
• Respond to alarms, calls for service, and emergencies quickly.
• Detect, deter, and investigate unusual or suspicious activity.
• Provide information and assistance to students, employees, and visitors.
• Observe and report violations of policies and laws.
• Complete accurate security incident reports and maintain CCTV and access-control systems.
