• First Aid/CPR/AED certification is required for the position and must be obtained in the initial probationary period.
• Must clear the drug screening, physical, and fingerprint/background check requirements.
• The job requires someone with critical thinking skills who can quickly observe a situation and make the appropriate response.
• Good working knowledge of management practices so he/she can efficiently perform his/her job.
• Professionalism to handle incidents of verbal, abusive, and threatening behavior.
• Awareness of when to act on his/her initiative and when to seek appropriate advice and guidance.

Responsibilities

• Patrol campus to prevent intrusion and detect suspicious activity.
• Monitor entrances and guard against unwelcome guests.
• Maintain logs of visitors, vehicle plates, and property.
• Write reports of irregularities and incidents.
• Operate and monitor camera systems and other security equipment.
• Provide information and directions to visitors.
