Job summary

Education & Training Resources LLC in Montgomery, AL seeks a Senior Security Officer for the 3:00 p.m. – 12:00 a.m. shift to help protect students, staff, visitors, facilities, and Center property.

You will supervise Security Officers, coordinate coverage, respond to incidents, and ensure procedures and Center policies are followed. The role requires watching for disturbances, enforcing rules, conducting regular checks, and coordinating with the Safety/Security Manager.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Six months experience in a security or related role preferred.
• Must have a valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• CDL Class B with passenger endorsement required within three months; Water Safety Certification.
• ADA accommodations may be made for qualified individuals to perform essential functions.

Responsibilities

• Patrol assigned areas and monitor for disturbances and safety hazards.
• Provide guidance and support to Security Officers and coordinate coverage.
• Enforce Center rules and safety protocols fairly.
• Conduct routine building and grounds security checks.
• Respond to incidents; assist with de-escalation and appropriate responses.
• Document incidents and report to the Safety/Security Manager.
• Coordinate daily security coverage and staffing.
• Perform parking and traffic control duties and provide escorts.
• Support fleet management compliance and reporting.
• Relay significant incidents and needs to management.
• Serve as a shift resource and communicate operational needs.
• Perform other duties to support safety and security.
