Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by federal, state and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus community by following security-related procedures and campus policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly following campus protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations.
• Maintain accurate activity logs and incident reports and communicate information to leadership and campus representatives.
