Job summary

Acuity Insurance seeks a Security Specialist to protect employees and facilities across campus and support emergency response planning. You will help implement security procedures, manage access and alarm systems, and coordinate drills with local emergency services.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, First Aid/CPR/AED certification, and the ability to legally possess a firearm. It offers comprehensive benefits and a 24/7 security presence at the headquarters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience; First Aid, CPR and AED certification required.
• Prior security, emergency response or law enforcement experience is helpful, and ability to legally possess a firearm is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide security presence on campus and inspect Corporate Headquarters daily.
• Respond to alarms and coordinate with management to address incidents.
• Create, implement, and update formal security procedures; produce instructional content.
• Maintain door access and camera systems; perform audits of access points and vendors.
• Coordinate emergency training, drills, and communication with emergency services.
• Issue building access and conduct key audits; manage AED inventory and first aid supplies.
