Job summary

San Juan College seeks a Security Dispatcher to serve as the central contact point for the Department of Public Safety, campus community, and general public in Farmington, NM. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• APCO Telecommunicator 1 Certification and ICS 100/200 required within 6 months.
• De-escalation training must be completed within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Receive telephonic calls for crimes, emergencies, and security requests.
• Dispatch officers and coordinate outside agency assistance as needed.
• Operate CAD system and multi-channel radio console.
• Monitor campus video surveillance and alarm systems, and emergency alert program.
• Provide badge IDs, parking permits, and fingerprinting services.
• Document logs and reports; assist walk-in and telephone inquiries.
