Job summary

Slippery Rock University seeks a Security Officer 1 | Dispatcher to support the University Police Department on Main Campus. You will dispatch officers, answer phone and radio calls, and direct traffic and parking for patrol services.

The position requires passing criminal background checks, availability for nights, weekends, and overtime, and basic computer skills. A valid driver’s license is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Successful performance in a campus interview and passing a criminal background check.
• Candidate must be available to work shifts, holidays, weekends and overtime.
• Knowledge of computer usage.

Responsibilities

• Dispatching for police officers of Slippery Rock University Police Department.
• Answering phone calls, radio calls, and traffic control to assist in directing and parking vehicles and patrol services.
