Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and understand English; follow instructions and perform simple arithmetic.
• General Experience: work involving following procedures in contact with coworkers or the public to provide a service.
• Specialized Experience: protecting property and people; knowledge of basic protective systems.

Responsibilities

• Patrol the school grounds to supervise students during class, lunch, and before/after hours.
• Observe and report unusual student behavior on campus.
• Encourage students to seek assistance or counseling.
• Safely manage pedestrians and traffic around school grounds.
• Enforce school rules and prohibit smoking, gambling, fighting, vandalism.
• Inspect facilities for safety hazards.
• Direct unauthorized persons off campus and report concerns.
• Assist staff at assemblies, athletic events, dances.
• Inform administrators of critical situations needing police or fire services.
• May activate alarms when necessary.
