Job summary

Boston College Campus School seeks an experienced nurse to manage daily health care for students with complex medical needs on campus. You will administer medications, support emergency protocols, and collaborate with families to ensure continuity of care.

The role requires RN licensure (DESE School Nurse preferred), BLS, and at least one year of pediatric nursing experience with special health care needs. The position is full-time and on-site at the Campus School, with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, RN license required or preferred DESE School Nurse license.
• Minimum of one year experience in pediatric nursing with students with special health care needs.
• BLS certification and First Aid training.
• Knowledge of medications and syndromes relevant to the population.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for daily administration of medications to Campus School students with proper orders.
• Recognize and treat seizure disorders, acute illness, injuries, and emergencies.
• Provide health education and training to teachers and staff on medical protocols.
• Communicate health needs and care plans with families and caregivers.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and protect student health information.
• Ensure yearly physicals, vision/hearing/dental screenings, and immunization records.
• Attend IEP and related meetings; contribute to medical policies and procedures.
• Supervise nursing students during clinical placements.
