Southeastern Massachusetts Educational Collaborative (SMEC) in Dartmouth, MA is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide school health services across classrooms. The RN will deliver nursing care, advise staff on medical issues, and maintain health records for students with emphasis on those with special needs.

MA RN licensure is required; BSN/DESE licensure preferred. The role is full-time, with benefits including health, dental, vision and retirement plans; travel between programs is expected.

Qualifikationen

• Licensed Registered Nurse in Massachusetts is required.
• Experience in pediatric settings and/or with children with special needs strongly preferred.
• BSN and/or DESE licensure preferred.

Aufgaben

• Provides routine and emergency nursing care.
• Prepares for, attends, and participates in staff meetings.
• Demonstrates ongoing professional growth through in-services and coursework below professional standards.
• Accurately completes documentation related to student incidents/injuries, 51A reports and/or DPPC.
• Provides emergency care including notification of ambulance and physicians.
• Monitors and documents routine vital signs and weight.
• Trains and supervises staff on health and safety per DESE.
• Maintains student health records and documents nursing services.
• Assists in development and implementation of health service policies.
