Job summary

University of Minnesota Energy Management seeks an engineer to operate and maintain the campus SCADA for energy utilities and building systems. You will upgrade hardware/software, develop security standards, and coordinate with electrical operations.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor degree and 2+ years in utility control systems or IT systems.
• Knowledge of SCADA concepts, DNP3/MODBUS not strictly required but preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, upgrade, backup and manage systems.

• Operate and maintain campus SCADA for energy utilities and building systems.
• Develop security standards, data access controls, and documentation for audits.
• Design, update HMIs, data maps, and web interfaces to improve transparency and situational awareness.
