Job summary

27J Schools in the Denver metro area serves Brighton, Commerce City and Thornton. We seek a School Based Security/Support role to protect students and campus safety with patrols, monitoring and rule enforcement on a 4-day, 9-month schedule.

Starting salary is $23.20/hour (Classified Grade N) with benefits. A high school diploma and security-related training are preferred; a background check is required, and the role collaborates with administrators, counselors and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Specialized courses in law enforcement or security preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Desire to work with at-risk youth.
• Knowledge/experience in law enforcement preferred.
• Able to pass background checks and handle sensitive information.
• Capable of occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Patrol campus and grounds to ensure safety and prevent incidents.
• Monitor parking lots, lunch areas, and facilities.
• Maintain cameras and assist administration in security tasks.
• Mediate conflicts and enforce school rules.
