Job summary

Cherry Creek School District is seeking a Security Officer to patrol campuses, monitor student behavior, and deter unsafe activity. The role supports administrators, enforces district policies, and assists in emergencies, with variable hours including evenings and weekends.

Incumbents are hired by the District Security Department and assigned to sites district-wide, with potential relocation to meet operational needs. Must maintain confidentiality and follow safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Security, law enforcement, or military experience preferred? (not required)
• Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality expected.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety and security of students and campus; patrol hallways, monitor behavior, enforce policies.
• Monitor lunch periods and supervise students in various locations as needed.
• Assist in investigations using security cameras and reports; support crisis response.
• Record and report incidents; discuss infractions and assist with disciplinary actions.
• Provide security at events and after-hours activities as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
