Job summary

MSD of Warren Township is seeking a School Safety Officer to provide security and a culture of safety across district schools. The role includes three components: Support, Safety Specialist, and informal mentoring to students and staff.

Responsibilities span emergency response, facilitating safe student flow, and building strong relationships with local police and school personnel. The position is non-exempt, hourly, with a typical work year beginning before Opening Day and ending with the last

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required; CPR/First Aid training preferred.
• Experience in school safety or security is preferred.
• Duties include monitoring, reporting, and collaboration with police.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, secure environment for students, staff, and visitors.
• Notify Warren Police and administration of emergencies or incidents.
• Monitor hallways, entrances, and campus facilities for safety.
• Assist with supervision during events and arrival/dismissal times.
• Record incident reports and maintain required paperwork.
