Applitrack at Rolling Meadows High School in Illinois is seeking a Campus Safety staff member to work 40 hours weekly, beginning August 10, 2026, for a 10-month assignment under the ESPA agreement at Grade 3, Step 1.

The position emphasizes supervising student behavior, assisting teachers with disciplinary issues, ensuring safety, and guiding visitors. A high school diploma, CPI and CPR/AED certifications, and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have physical ability to lift/move supplies, materials, and office equipment up to 40 lbs.
• Must sit at workstation for extended periods of time and/or move frequently from workstation to various other areas of building.
• Must organize and prioritize workflow.
• Must be proficient in the use of computers, office practices, procedures and office equipment.
• Must project a positive image of the district to students, staff and the general public as well as exhibit a positive employee attitude.
• Must demonstrate appropriate interpersonal skills, and communicate clearly and respectfully with students, staff, parents, visitors and the general public.
• Must have awareness of a variety of studentneeds, including physical and social emotional needs.
• Must hold a valid driver's license.
• Must complete district approved Crisis Prevention Institute training (CPI).
• Must have physical ability to move about frequently and quickly throughout the school campus.
• Must have possession of a valid Red Cross First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation/AED Certification or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in the efficient and effective functioning of the school including, but not limited to: supporting school safety and district crisis plans.
• Responding to emergency or crisis situations for the purpose of addressing immediate safety concerns.
• Promoting a safe school environment by observing and reporting behavior of students, parents and visitors on school property.
• Promoting a clean school environment and ensures that school policies and procedures are followed school wide by supervising student's behavior outside of the classrooms.
• Assisting visitors by helping them obtain a visitor's pass and directing them to the appropriate location.
• Supporting and supervising students in non-academic settings.
• Assisting students who appear ill, distraught, or otherwise needy, by contacting parents or appropriate school personnel and referring to the appropriate services.
• Promoting a clean school environment and correcting student misperceptions of others by modeling appropriate behavior and/or talking to the students.
• Assisting the DHSSSW and School Resource Officer in escorting students to and from various locations.
• Participating in appropriate professional development activities in order to enhance job performance.
• Cultivating and developing inclusive and equitable working relationships with staff, students and community members.
