Job summary

Livermoreschools is seeking a Yard Duty Supervisor to oversee student safety and conduct on school grounds during assigned periods. Responsibilities include enforcing campus rules, reporting incidents, and assisting in resolving conflicts to maintain a safe environment for all students on campus.

The role requires supervising students, communicating clearly with staff and students, and wearing district-approved attire during shifts, with a 10-month term and district benefits.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience supervising school-age students preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Combination of education, training and/or job experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Inform students of acceptable school behavior.
• Monitor student conduct and enforce campus rules.
• Immediately report injuries and complete accident forms.
• Intercede in potential conflicts and write referrals when needed.
• Escort students to administration for serious violations.
• Direct tardy students to the appropriate office.
• Report safety hazards and vandalism to administration.
• Assist students with needs in assigned duty areas (e.g., cafeteria).
• Wear district-designated attire during work hours.
• Communicate effectively and maintain cooperative relationships.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
