Job summary

Kern High School District is seeking a security guard to supervise students on campus, parking lots, and adjacent areas to maintain order and maximize attendance.

The ideal candidate has knowledge of youth supervision techniques, a CA driver's license, SB 1626 training proof, and at least three years of related experience; a pre-employment medical and criminal history check will be required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of approved youth supervision techniques and district rules.
• Ability to read/write at required level and follow instructions.
• Ability to break up student altercations when necessary.
• Must possess and maintain a CA driver's license; driving record may be checked.
• Pre-employment medical and criminal history checks required.
• Three years of youth-work experience, preferably in a high school setting.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students on school grounds, parking lot and adjacent areas to ensure conduct and attendance.
• Enforce school rules and regulations relating to student behavior, order, and conduct.
