Job summary

Bullis School in Potomac, MD is seeking a Safety & Security Officer to join our security team. This essential role protects students, staff, and visitors, maintains a visible campus presence, and supports traffic control and facilities monitoring.

The position features rotating day and evening shifts, a standard 40-hour work week, and competitive pay with benefits. You will collaborate with Athletics and Facilities to keep the campus safe and orderly throughout the year.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent observational skills and attention to detail.
• Authoritative verbal communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations.
• Ability to obtain Maryland Guard Card.
• Willingness to work rotating day/evening shifts.

Responsibilities

• Maintain campus access control.
• Monitor traffic and parking throughout the day.
• Assist with building access and guard booth duty.
• Provide security during athletic games and after-school events.
• Promote lawful behavior and be a visible security presence on campus.
• Enforce traffic and parking regulations on school grounds.
