Job summary

Cherry Creek Careers seeks a vigilant Security/Safety Specialist for Colorado schools. You will patrol campuses, monitor behavior, enforce district policies, and assist administrators during emergencies to keep students safe and learning uninterrupted.

The role may require evenings, weekends, and site relocations to meet district needs; candidates must have a high school diploma and security-related experience, with strong communication and incident-reporting skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Security, law enforcement, or military experience preferred.
• Minimum age 21 years old.
• Uniform as designated by Safety and Security leadership.
• Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality.
• Racially conscious and culturally competent with a commitment to improvement.
• Basic knowledge of office equipment and Microsoft Office.
• Basic interpersonal and public relations skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety and security of students and campus with high visibility patrols.
• Monitor lunch periods, hallways, common areas, and grounds.
• Assist investigations using cameras and perform searches when needed.
• Discuss and document infractions; support disciplinary processes.
• Support crisis situations and coordinate with staff and first responders.
• Provide security at events including sports and activities outside hours.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
