Job summary

Cherry Creek Schools seeks a Security Officer to help maintain a safe and secure school environment. You will patrol campuses, monitor behavior, enforce policies, and assist administrators and public officials during emergencies or investigations.

The role may require evenings, weekends, and relocation to meet operational needs across sites. This district-wide assignment is managed by the District Security Department and requires a valid Colorado driver’s license, CPI/ICS certifications, and the

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Security, law enforcement, or military experience preferred.
• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required for hire.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
• Excellent communication and confidentiality are essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety and security of students and campus; patrol hallways, grounds, and parking lots.
• Monitor lunch periods and supervise students during off hours.
• Assist investigations using security cameras and conduct searches when needed.
• Discuss/mediate infractions and document incidents for administrators.
• Provide coverage at events and during after-hours activities.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
