Job summary

TrulyHired is seeking a qualified campus security officer to maintain a high-visibility presence on school property and respond to incidents. The role supports student and staff safety under the supervision of the Campus Police Sergeant.

Requirements include a GED or high school diploma, six months' experience, POST certification, and ability to operate emergency equipment and vehicles in accordance with district procedures.

Qualifications

• Must be POST-certified as a police officer.
• Police academy or training in security procedures and investigation.
• Ability to operate emergency equipment, weapons, and motor vehicles.
• Ability to maintain crowd control.
• Ability to prepare accurate written reports.
• Knowledge of basic law including Criminal/Civil statutes.

Responsibilities

• Enforces regulations to protect district property, personnel, and students.
• Maintain high visibility on school campus to safeguard district property and safety of students and staff.
• Investigates incidents such as burglary, theft, arson, criminal trespass and assaults and writes reports.
• Interviews, apprehends, arrests, transports, books, and advises suspects of rights.
• Responds to alarm calls and takes appropriate action.
• Complies with safety standards.
• Performs other duties to ensure safe operation of the school and district.
