Job summary

Military, Veterans and Diverse Job Seekers is seeking a full-time campus safety officer to patrol District campuses, enforce regulations, and respond to incidents. Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED, a California driver license, and POST-certified training.

Responsibilities include investigations, arrests, report writing, and public safety outreach. You will work with law enforcement partners and assist during emergencies and events to maintain a secure campus environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid California driver license required.
• Completion of California P.O.S.T. Basic Academy or Basic Certificate at hire.
• Knowledge of traffic laws, police procedures and reporting standards.

Responsibilities

• Patrol District campuses to enforce regulations and laws.
• Investigate disturbances, prowlers, burglaries, thefts, hold-ups and other incidents.
• Make arrests and testify in court when required.
• Direct traffic at events, emergencies and congested situations.
• Prepare arrest, activity and incident reports.
• Provide public safety presentations and engage with the community.
