Job summary

The position is full-time, requires a high school diploma or GED, SC Security Guard registration, and a valid SC driver's license. Bilingual or prior law enforcement experience is a plus, with weekend and night shifts expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Current or ability to obtain SC Security Guard registration.
• Valid SC driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Experience in security, law enforcement, or related public safety role preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication for accurate incident reporting.
• Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Patrol campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and residence halls to deter and respond to security incidents.
• Monitor access points and enforce university policies to maintain a safe environment.
• Respond to calls for assistance, document incidents accurately, and liaise with local law enforcement when required.
• Support crowd management at campus events, including evening and weekend functions.
