The University of South Carolina Upstate is seeking a part-time Campus Security Officer for the Library in Spartanburg, SC. This role provides safety and security for students, faculty, and staff during evening hours (6:00pm–12:00am, Sunday–Thursday).
Responsibilities include library patrols, verifying University IDs for access, and unlocking doors for authorized personnel. A valid SC driver’s license, clean driving record, and successful background check are required.

The Library safety officer is responsible for providing for the safety and security of students, faculty, and staff frequenting the Library during evening hours. This includes making rounds inside the Library, observing and reporting any unusual circumstances and securing doors as required.
Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or GED. Must be 18 years of age. Must possess a valid South Carolina driver's license with a good driving record. Successful background check is required. Preferred Qualifications: Prior safety, security or law enforcement experience preferred.
