Job summary

Memphis Goodwill, Inc. is seeking a Campus Safety Coordinator to supervise safety operations at The Excel Center in Memphis.

You will lead visitor management, access control, and emergency response to maintain a secure, welcoming environment for students, staff, and guests. As daily point of contact with campus leadership and security vendors, you will ensure procedures are followed, coordinate paid security staff, and support safe campus culture.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in security, school safety, law enforcement, or related field.
• Ability to stay calm under stress.
• Strong communication and de-escalation skills.
• Ability to work with adult students, staff, visitors, and community.
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of security systems.
• Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the building.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Oversee visitor check-in/out and access procedures.
• Monitor student safety and security across campus.
• Support staff safety and door/badge/security protocols.
• Direct contracted security staff daily and for events.
• Monitor building entrances and access-controlled doors.
• Assist with emergency drills and response.
• Complete incident reports and communicate trends to leadership.
