Job summary

Colorado Springs School District 11(co) is seeking a Security Officer I (Campus) to maintain a safe and orderly environment across district campuses. The role patrols properties, monitors activity, enforces policies, responds to incidents, and supports student safety and climate.

The position requires a high school diploma, completion of district safety trainings, and background checks. It is a 1.0 FTE, non-exempt role with 192 days/year, reporting to the Director of Security.

Qualifications

• REQUIRED: High school diploma or equivalent.
• REQUIRED: Must complete district-required first aid, CPI, and safety training.
• REQUIRED: Must pass required background checks and pre-employment screenings.

Responsibilities

• Patrol school buildings, grounds, parking lots, athletic areas, and surrounding property.
• Verify identification of visitors and ensure sign-in procedures are followed.
• Respond to medical incidents, disturbances, alarms, accidents, and other emergencies.
• Support arrival, dismissal, lunch periods, after-school activities, and athletic events.
• Maintain confidentiality and work with administrators and law enforcement as needed.
