The purpose of a Campus Safety Officer is to contribute to a safe and secure learning and working environment for all members of the Regis University Community, including guests and visitors. Officers handle physical risks and make decisions based on facts, experience, policies, and laws, including whether to contact emergency services, activate the EOC, or intervene in confrontations.
Officers have full decision-making authority on the Northwestern Denver Campus and may assist at extended campuses, ensuring timely responses to incidents.
Communicate with the campus community, law enforcement, and external agencies via various methods to respond to incidents and provide information.
Judgment errors could impact safety, legal standing, or property. Responses involve managing criminal, safety, or equipment issues.
