The Public Safety department seeks a Campus Safety Officer to be highly visible in all parking lots, garages, and campus buildings to deter theft, vandalism, and physical assaults.

Responsibilities include:

1. Providing security coverage at assigned posts, ensuring all employees and students wear appropriate IDs, signing in visitors, and directing them to offices or meeting spaces.
2. Serving as a safety escort for students.
3. Providing campus information and assistance to students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
4. Completing rounds, checking doors, windows, and access points during off-shift hours for security.
5. Providing emergency medical response, communicating with the Shift Commander, contacting ambulances if needed, and escorting medical personnel.
6. Reporting hazards, safety concerns, and suspicious activities to the Shift Commander and Facilities Director.
7. Performing interior and exterior patrols, addressing safety concerns, and managing unauthorized individuals.
8. Patrolling parking lots for suspicious activity, vehicle issues, violations, or unlawful activity.
9. Completing reports and administrative duties as assigned.
