Job summary

Distinction LLC is seeking a Safety/Security Advisor to ensure a safe, secure, and supportive campus environment for students, staff, and visitors. This role blends safety, mentorship, conflict resolution, and customer service to support student success.

The position involves patrols, incident reporting, and coordination with staff and local authorities. A $2000 bonus is paid across the first six months. Schedule varies to include evenings, overnights, and weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1–3 years of experience in security, law enforcement, public safety, corrections, military, or related field.
• Strong observation, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to write clear and accurate reports.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Patrol campus buildings and grounds to maintain a safe and secure environment.
• Monitor facilities by checking doors, windows, locks, lighting, and emergency equipment.
• Respond to emergencies, alarms, incidents, and safety concerns.
• Prepare daily activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation.
• Conduct preliminary investigations and document findings.
• Verify identification and monitor access to campus per procedures.
• Assist with parking, traffic control, and visitor management.
• Support emergency response efforts, including fire alarms and evacuations.
