Job summary

The Dallas Independent School District seeks a Coordinator II to oversee Safety, Facility, and Operations for a group of campuses. You will lead safety initiatives, coordinate facilities issues, and report on progress with campus leadership.

You’ll collaborate with district officials, manage projects, and assist during emergencies. Strong communication and teamwork are essential; Emergency Management background is preferred to shape proactive campus safety strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university; Emergency Management preferred.
• 3–5 years of direct experience in law enforcement, education, or related roles.
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents; strong communication skills.
• No felony convictions; electronic fingerprinting and drug screening required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Safety, Facility, and Operations Coordinator for a set of campuses.
• Coordinate submission and follow-up for facilities issues to drive resolution.
• Collaborate with District officials to advance school safety, facilities, and operations.
• Manage departmental projects such as site selection, security checks, audits, and on-campus training.
• Provide status reports on campus safety issues and resolutions.
• Develop safety and operations collateral (guides, handbooks, etc.).
• Assist with emergency planning and on-site crisis support.
